True Length and Width: Compare Dimensions For Samsung TVs

If you’re shopping for a new Samsung TV, then you’ve likely already noticed that there are a lot of different labeled sizes.

But what do those TV sizes really mean? And how do you know the true width and length of a TV?

We’ve gone through all of the various Samsung TV sizes that are currently available on the market to get you the proper measurements and dimensions.

Knowing the true size of these Samsung TVs helps you know which model is ideal for the entertainment space that you have available in your home.

How To Measure Samsung TV Screen Size

No matter what brand or size of TV you own, the measurement is always taken diagonally.

This is done by measuring from one corner of the television’s visible display area to its opposite corner.

To ensure accuracy, use a ruler or tape measure and record this measurement in inches. This measurement will be equal to your television’s diagonal screen size.

For instance, if you measure and get 37 inches diagonally from one corner of your Samsung TV display area to its opposite corner, then your television has a 37-inch display size.

Keep in mind that when manufacturers list their televisions’ sizes they usually round up or down, so while your actual measurement might be 37-inches, it may still be listed as a 36-inch or 38-inch model depending on who made it.

How To Measure Samsung TV Actual Size (Width and Height)

In addition to measuring diagonally for the screen size, you can also measure width and height in order determine your television’s true size.

This lets you know how much space you’ll need for the TV.

To take these measurements, use a ruler or tape measure and record the width in inches from one side of your TV’s visible display area to its opposite side.

Then do the same with height by measuring how many inches are between the top of the TV and its bottom.

This gives you the true size of the TV in terms of height and width.

These TVs are usually a good size for a bedroom or for a kid’s room because they are not too big but also not too small.

While we only go as small as 32-inches in our table above, Samsung does make some smaller screen sizes if you have a tiny space to fill.

What Are Small To Medium Size Samsung TVs?

If you want something a bit larger than a 32-inch TV, but not crazy big, then something in the small to midsize range is likely a good fit for you.
