“Mobs” is the term used in Minecraft to describe all living entities that populate the game world.

Technically, “mob” stands for “mobile entity,” but it’s a dual-fitting term, because most Minecraft mobs are made up of a great number of members.

Minecraft’s diverse array of mobs serve various functions and have different intents and behaviors in the game.

But, before we get to that, here are all the mobs you’ll find in Minecraft (by edition):

Java Edition Minecraft Mobs

The Java Edition of Minecraft is the original version of the game, developed for PC and Mac.

While it doesn’t have some of the mobs included in later editions of the game, it does have some mobs that later editions do not, including the popular and delightful Killer Bunny.
